Meet a Tone
Check this out: we're as awesome individually as we are when singing our little hearts out together. Scroll down to find out why...

Katie Bang (Musical Director) or simply "Bang," a second year student in the Sloan Program in Health Administration, hails from Buffalo, NY. Now serving as MD for the
beautiful, talented Touchtones, she is known for setting "aggressive" rehearsals schedules and always looking to Meghan for her perfect pitch... If her dreams of vocal percussion pre-eminence don't come to fruition, she hopes to pursue a career in pediatric healthcare administration.

Lauren Deutsch is, first and foremost, a Jersey Girl. She loves the state, loves the movie, loves everything about Jersey. She will only sing songs by Bruce Spri--err, The Boss--and wakes up everyday committed to the idea of changing the reputation of her home state. When she isn't crusading for NJ, she can be found healthfully administrating in the Sloan Program or living with Bang, which really is a full-time job.

Danielle Ford (Business Manager) is a senior in ILR. One of two resident 'man' voices in the Touchtones, Dean prides herself on hitting low notes some boys can't even dream of singing. She's from Long Island and proud of it. She hopes to go into HR one day but only after she has intensely pursued her dream of becoming a celebrity chef.

Ariel Fox is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences. She loves Big Red hockey, Uris library, Truffle the chocolate lab, singing women and all the people who have made Cornell home. Much thanks and love to the Tones for being the music in her college life and for never giving her hints as to what voice part she'll be singing.

Caryn Ganeles is a sophmore from sunny and warm Boca Raton, Florida. An enthusiastic Communications major, she hopes to one day...communicate? As a Fall '07 newbie, Caryn couldn't be more excited to sing with the Tones. When she's not singing or communicating, you can find her in Trillium eating anything with melted cheese, listening to "Semi-Charmed Life" on repeat, and making things awkward.

Genie Grant is a junior in CALS, majoring in Biology & Society. She is originally from
Los Angeles, California and was born in Hollywood, but I now reside in Jersey. She is obsessed with Degrassi and Gossip Girl, and she tends to say "hey girl" a lot. She's extremely happy to be a part of The Touchtones and thinks they are the hottest singing group on campus!

Kelsey Kirkpatrick (Publicity Chair) is a junior from the gnarly state of California. She is known, on occasion, to space out completely, but actually uses this as a front to hide her superior intellect. She also has the odd ability to contort her face in disturbing ways, but really does this just to make other people feel better about themselves. Yes, she is that considerate. Kelsey enjoys drinking excessive amounts of diet coke, playing solitaire on her computer, and eating the overly processed Goober peanut butter and jelly mix.

Lindsay Krasna is a senior hailing from Yardley, PA. She is majoring in Nutritional Sciences in the College of Human Ecology. A lover of running, writing, and guitar(ing), she can recite the entire movie of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective upon request. Her favorite food is unagi don (eel, if you were wondering), and her musical inspirations include Jewel, Rachael Yamagata, and Schuyler Fisk. Clowns scare her. But the Tones don’t… they’re the best! And she’s looking forward to jammin’ with them this year.

Dana Lipperman (Concert Coordinator) is a junior from Westchester, NY. She is a Biometry and Statistics major in the Ag School, and yeah, she doesn't really know what that means either. When she's not working on math problems or singing with the Touchtones, you can usually find her anywhere where slurpees can be found, even during the winter.

Katie Magee (Fundraising Chair) is a senior and loves spending time with her Tones and is exciting for the craziness that is BOUND to ensue this year. As fund-raising chair, Magee - as she's called by the group - is hoping for a successful, and profitable, year. On a more personal note, she's also obsessed with dogs, and sadly addicted to trashy romance novels...still.

Ilyssa Meren (Publicity Chair) is a junior studying animal science, pre-vet. She grew up in NYC but now lives in Westchester, but spends most of her time in her mom's puppy store in Westport, CT. She has 11 (or is it now 12?) dogs, and her household is pretty much a zoo. She enjoys dogs, singing with her Tones, skiing, sushi, competitive knitting, scrubs, challah, sugar, Fish the fish, and the dairy bar.

Emily Redston is a sophomore in the Engineering school. Her focus is Material Science, but honestly, she just wants to live with giraffes once she graduates. She loves how spotted they are, and how they can reach delicious fruit at the top of trees. Now, if only she could figure out a way to build her own giraffe. Sometimes she wishes that the Touchtones had a giraffe, but she's still excited to sing with them anyway.

Meghan Ownbey (President) is a senior English major with a serious addiction to both crossword puzzles and iced coffee. She enjoys singing loudly, reading maps, procrastinating, and drinking white wine. She has been known to embarrass her group on more than one occasion and will never turn down a party. She thanks the Tones for putting up with her for so long.

Kasey Stonehill is a freshman in the college of Arts and Sciences. Like most freshmen, she doesn't have a major yet, but she is really into psychology. She loves to swim, play piano, act, and OF COURSE sing until she can't sing anymore. She is from Norwalk, Connecticut, but when she's at Cornell, she calls Ithaca her home. She is supergrandemucho excited to be in the Touchtones because everyone is so freaking amazing.

Alison Vosburg is a freshman studying animal science. She comes from a small dairy farm in Centerville, New York. She loves her chocolate lab, Merle, and any other dog she comes in contact with. She loves singing and is ecstatic about joining The Touchtones this semester!

Margeaux Wallace is a soprano from New Jersey (no relation to Tony). Margeaux loves people, parties, pizza, and, of course, singing! She's a freshman engineering student thinking about majoring in Material Science and is super excited to be singing with the Touchtones this year!

Laura Wetzel is a sophomore in Arts and Sciences. She enjoys crowd surfing and alternative music. If you haven't heard of it, she likes it. She juggles fire in her spare time and hopes to learn to tight rope walk this year. Obviously, to be in the circus is her ultimate goal. She thinks that being in the Touchtones is a good first step.
