The Touchtones were created in 1983 at the hands of Sandy (Greenspan) Lederman, Patty Keller, and Nat Comisar. Starting with Swing Low, Sweet Chariot (a song we still use in our auditions today!) and Where is Love, the Touchtones began singing contemporary hits, golden oldies, and different genres of music that members loved. While other singing groups on campus existed at the time, the Touchtones were the first group created with the intention of singing music a cappella. Our members come from many different studies and backgrounds, and their diversity and shared love of singing is what makes the Touchtones so special.
