Meet The Tones

Sarah is a senior Hotelie (with a Communication minor) from Bethesda, Maryland. When she’s not serving as the President and Stylist of The Touchtones, Sarah is the director of People & Culture for Hotel Ezra Cornell. Outside of class, Sarah loves to cook meals for her friends and family, go to the gym, and watch docuseries. As a former classical pianist, Sarah is obsessed with Yuja Wang and her invigorating musical interpretations, and her favorite genres are Rap and R&B. 

Srishti is a senior from Princeton, NJ majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Business. When she’s not serving as Music Director of The Touchtones, you’ll catch Srishti behind the barista bar at Temple of Zeus or working in her research lab in Weill. For fun, Srishti loves to run, rock climb, and hike. She’s also into songwriting and music composition. Her musical inspirations are Billy Joel, Taylor Swift, and John Mayer!

Maddie is a sophomore in the lLR School minoring in Law & Society and Information Science. Other than working as Business Manager and Co-Choreographer for The Touchtones, Maddie serves on the Board of Standards for her sorority, Sigma Delta Tau and the Vice President of Programming for the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law fraternity. In her free time, Maddie enjoys eating at Martha’s, playing with her puppy, and grabbing an iced vanilla latte. Her current musical inspirations are Hozier, Taylor Swift, Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, and Zach Bryan!

Gabrielle is a senior in the College of Human Ecology studying Nutritional Science and Human Development. Gab is from Long Island, NY and currently serves as concert coordinator, co-alumni coordinator, and co-social chair for The Touchtones! In her free time, Gabrielle enjoys cooking new recipes and being with friends. Her favorite artists are Dua Lipa, SZA, Frank Ocean, and The Weeknd. 

Gracie is a senior in the College of Arts & Sciences, studying Psychology, Law & Society, and Crime, Prisons, Education, and Justice. She is proudly from the Upper West (upper BEST) Side of New York City. She sings soprano two and does all publicity for The Touchtones. Outside of the Tones, Gracie is a volunteer TA for the Cornell Prison Education Program and the President of Cornell’s A Cappella Advisory Council. She loves binging The Mindy Project and eating vanilla meringues from Trader Joe’s, as well as experimenting with her skincare routine and making Pinterest boards for every aspect of her life. Her musical inspirations are Taylor Swift, Sammy Rae & The Friends,  Dolly Parton, and ABBA!

Hannah is a junior in the College of Arts & Sciences from New York City studying Music. When she’s not serving as AMD or percing her heart out for The Touchtones, she works as the General Manager of the Whistling Shrimp Improv Comedy and interns for Magus Entertainment (a music management and production company). In her free time, Hannah enjoys playing every instrument she can get her hands on, cooking, and blowing up the Tones group chat. Her current favorite artists are Trousdale, Lake Street Dive, Sammy Rae & The Friends!

Shivani is a sophomore from Morristown, NJ studying Human Biology, Health and Society in the College of Human Ecology. When she’s not Co-Choreographer and DEI Chair for The Touchtones, Shivani is a trail running instructor and Outdoor Odyssey Guide with Cornell Outdoor Education. In her free time, she loves to run, cook, read, and play trivia games! Her favorite artists are Taylor Swift and Billy Joel. 

Hannah Smith is a sophomore from Brooklyn, NY studying English in the College of Arts and Sciences. Unsurprisingly, she spends her free time reading, writing,  and going to Barnes & Noble. Her favorite books at the moment are The Idiot by Elif Batuman and The Secret History by Donna Tartt. Her musical inspirations are Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, boygenius, Mitski, the 1975, and Lana Del Rey!

Sofia is a sophomore in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences studying Global Development and Business. She is from the one and only Montclair, NJ. When she’s not singing mezzo in The Touchtones, Sofia is a member of both the Cornell Vocal Program and the Cornell Fashion Collective Business Team. In her free time, Sofia enjoys playing guitar, trying new food recipes, going on long walks in nature, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. Her musical inspirations are Queen, Billy Joel, Adele, Julie Andrews!
